Patrica (パトリシア, Patorishia) is a character in the Aozora's Adventure series.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Patrica's appearance is styled after a wild west-era cowgirl. She has bright orange eyes and long tangerine-colored hair. Her signature hat is a black cowboy's hat with a grey band and a metal button pinned on.

A red scarf, an open black coat that runs down to just above her hips with rolled up sleeves, and a pair of brown gloves decorate Patrica's upper body. To cover her breasts, she wears an orange and white-striped swimsuit bra.

Patrica wears a short pair of sky blue jeans suspended by a brown belt with a yellow-orange metal belt buckle. A second black belt with grey metal plates is worn over the pants, hosting two black gun sheaths with a single orange stripe on each. For footwear, Patrica wears a pair of brown boots, held tight by two black belts with yellow metal buckles. Attached to both her pants and each boot are small metallic pins with orange gemstones embedded in their centers.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Patrica is energetic, fun-loving, and is a thrill seeker oozing with bravery and confidence. She loves the fresh smell of adventure and will take any opportunity she can to go out and show the world what she's made of. While Patrica is usually reluctant towards meeting people and making friends after experiences from her past, if she detects a positive aura from someone, she has no problems with meeting up with someone and helping them out.

However, Patrica can be too quick to act and is easily startled and spooked. She also does not take nicely to jokes or comments targeted at her or her likeness, responding with visible anger (signaled by a deep pout) and violence threats (signaled by a swift swing with her leg towards the trigger). Patrica does not take being under pressure too well, causing her mindset accelerate faster than she can think or react.

Background[edit | edit source]

Patrica is a lady hailing from the state of Texas. Ever since she was young, she loved the energy and the vibes of the old west after her father introduced it to her. When she was a grade-schooler, she would binge an assortment of books and action films set in the wild west, reading and watching the action and gunplay unfold in front of her eyes. One story that impacted her was a novel about a heroic cowgirl that dual-wielded two pistols and was played as strong, heroic, and inspirational. After reading the novel and several others with female leads, Patrica was convinced that she could be a rodeo girl just like the heroes she read about.

In school, Patrica would tell her friends her dreams of sporting a cowgirl's hat and doing justice to evildoers. While she got support and encouragement from her friends, others, mostly young boys, would say she had no chance of becoming a true cowgirl, sometimes laughing it off and mocking her up-front. These kinds of interactions caused her to become wary and uncomfortable around boys she didn't know and shy away from meeting any new ones. Despite this, she still respected her father, who told her to "always follow yer dreams, no matter what they say."

For her sweet sixteenth birthday, Patrica was gifted a black hat and a vest from her grandfather. She was excited the moment she saw what it was to when she first tried them on. Overly hyped, she thanked her grandparents for the gifts and from there became fixated on completing her signature cowgirl look. She wore the vest and the hat one day to her high school, drawing attention from the crowds of students. A few of them went up to Patrica and complemented the look, some turning into friends afterwards that she hung with after school. They helped her with completing the cowgirl getup, including one instance where after going swimming one day in the summer, she put on the vest and hat while keeping her orange bikini on. Oddly, she grew to enjoy the look, posing and thinking to herself that the swimsuit complemented the vest and hat nicely.

Several years after leaving high school, Patrica's father helped apply her for a license to own firearms, and from there she ordered a set of custom made pistols she has proudly owned and used since.
