Tenor (テノール, Tenōru), is a character in the Aozora's Adventure series.
Tenor is a slim and tall Jamaican man in his mid 30's, characterized by his bright, loud, and vibrant wardrobe. He has bulky black dreadlocks with the frontmost locks decorated with rings of different colors including magenta, emerald green, red, yellow, white, and cyan (colors shared throughout his outfit), a colorful baseball cap worn backwards with the visor bent upwards at a 90-degree angle, some headphones, a pair of glasses, and a black goatee with a spike of black hair shooting down from his chin.
Tenor wears a coat/hoodie combo with a hood, un-zippered in the center with sleeves that go out to his shoulders. Under the coat, he wears a shirt with an abstract, multicolor design on a black background. Across his neck is a personalized necklace with two musical note charms at the end. On his hands, Tenor wears a pair of multicolor gloves and some wristbands and beads.
His bottom wear includes a belt and a pair of jeans customized to suit the rest of his design style and mismatched sneakers of the same design but different colors. A microphone is attached to a specialized sheath on the belt, which can be pulled out easily for instant use.
Tenor is a rapper, beatboxer and hip-hop fanatic who lives in New York City. He, along with three others including a guitarist, a drummer, and a DJ, formed a small indie band known as Downbeat FUNK, practicing and performing in an abandoned garage refurbished into a funky neon musical paradise. While starting out as only a niche hobby, Downbeat FUNK soon evolved to give it a unique identity to anyone lucky enough to stumble upon Tenor and his crew's live performances thanks to a funky and jazzy hip-hop and rap style.
Powers and Abilities
Tenor uses an oversized portable stereo with a funnel-shaped speaker attached to the left end as a weapon. Tenor holds it over his shoulder with his right hand and presses a small trigger on the stereo to blast explosive musical notes made of light energy that emerge in a variety of colors, similar to a rocket luncher. If Tenor grabs the mic normally suspended by his belt, Tenor can use it in conjunction with his stereo to release sound waves that push targets back when he speaks, shouts, or sings into it. It can be toned down to non-lethal levels if not used for combat.
