Lìhúa (麗華, pronounced Lee-waha) is a character in the Aozora's Adventure series.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Lìhúa has black hair rolled up into a bun, with two bangs in the front also rolled into the the bun. The bottom of her hair is loose, stopping just short of the bottom of her neck. Suspending the hair-bun is a purple strap with two dark purple wires shooting out of it and folding downwards, the ends of the wires consisting of diamonds of four colors in descending order: blue, teal, green, and a large diamond colored sea-green.

Lìhúa wears a lose black kimono with white outlines and green insides, supported by a large green cloth that runs around her waist, further supported by a large red rope tied into a ribbon on her back. This outfit was received from a brief visit into Japan and she continued to wear it as her traditional outfit, but she will shift to wearing traditional Chinese clothing on other days.

On her legs, she wears thick pink-colored leggings and white slip-ons with black support platforms.

Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Lìhúa is an avid user of Chinese martial arts, in particular the "Feng Shou", or "Wind Hand" style. This gives her physical strikes extra swiftness and free-flow, using pure speed to offset the drop in power from not relying on muscle to fight. As the form is more defensive compared to other offensive-oriented martial arts, Lìhúa's style is focused more on dodging and rolling away from incoming attacks and retaliating when her foe is vulnerable, using arm locks and sweeps with her legs to knock down targets. Years of training tightened Lìhúa's senses, keeping her tight on her toes and focused at all times. However, she can still be overwhelmed if she fights large amounts of people at once, since her skillset being tailored to one-on-one fighting.

Lìhúa carries one of two weapons. Her main weapon is an oversized Zhanmadao (horse-chopping saber) dedicated to defeating large groups of people quickly, an offset to her Wind Hand martial arts' dedication to single targets. The sword is large, can be swung easily and is powerful, but Lihua struggles to use it for an extended period of time- her arms steadily tiring out over timed to the sword's weight.

Lìhúa's secondary weapon is a set of wind and fire wheels infused with wind energy. Normally quick and lightweight bladed weapons, they can be tossed and used as a throwing weapon to take out anything at long range. The speed and angle thrown can cause four smaller blades to unfold from the edges of the wheel and increase the width of the wheel's effectiveness, otherwise it simply travels forward until it stops. When grasped, energy gathers into the wheel- causing it to illuminate into a bright shade of green. When thrown, the wheel unfolds its blades and continuously spins in place for several seconds, firing sharp shards of razor wind in different directions before losing energy and falling to the ground. Due to the unpredictability of the empowered wheels and the overall high level of danger they contain, they are seldom used and reserved for eliminating large crowds.
